Mission
The National Association of Investment Companies (NAIC) is the industry association for private equity firms that invest in an ethnically diverse marketplace. NAIC member companies invest in privately held businesses that have a high probability of growth and the ability to generate significant returns for investors and shareholders.
NAIC’s mission is to promote the development of successful private equity investment firms that:
- invest in businesses significantly owned by ethnic individuals;
- invest in businesses that substantially serve ethnically diverse markets; and/or
- are significantly owned by minority or ethnic individuals.
To achieve this mission, NAIC operates under a strategic plan with five “strategic cornerstones”:
- Increasing the supply of capital to the US Emerging Domestic Market (EDM);
- Defining the EDM private equity industry and becoming the recognized thought leader;
- Increasing the visibility of member firms and the industry;
- Expanding NAIC’s membership base; and
- Increasing the organizational value proposition and member services.
