Trustee and Plan Sponsor Symposium
The Trustee and Plan Sponsor Symposium is a professional development event designed for new and experienced pension fund trustees. Sponsored by NAIC’s Entrepreneurial Growth Investment Institute (EGII), the symposium focuses on the Alternative Asset Class and the under-explored investment opportunities of the Emerging Domestic Market (EDM). This year, the inaugural Symposium will be held in conjunction with NAIC’s Annual Meeting and Convention.
Partnering with EGII as co-chairs of the Symposium are Joseph Haslip, assistant comptroller for pensions, New York City Retirement Systems; and Jarvis Hollingsworth, chairman, teacher retirement system of Texas Board of trustees.
Symposium sessions will provide a form for trustees and plan sponsors to exchange best practices and to discuss specific roles and responsibilities in making private equity investments, particularly within the EDM.
Participants will have the opportunity to interact with private equity researchers, thought leaders and fund managers. Details regarding the agenda and speakers will be forthcoming over the next few months, so check back with our website periodically for updates.
